Online Therapy in Maryland
See a Maryland-licensed therapist by secure video — from Baltimore and the DC suburbs to Frederick, Hagerstown, and the Eastern Shore. Skip the Beltway; keep the appointment.
Therapy that fits a Maryland schedule
Between long commutes, demanding jobs, and family logistics, the drive to a therapist’s office is often the very thing that keeps people from starting. Online therapy removes that barrier: you meet by secure, HIPAA-compliant video from home, your office, or anywhere private — and the session starts on time.
Maryland clients work with Heather Dick, LCSW — founder of Mana Life Counseling, a Certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She holds a full Maryland license alongside her Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey licenses.
What Maryland clients come to us for
- Anxiety that won’t switch off — worry, panic, restlessness, burnout
- Depression, low motivation, and feeling flat
- Alcohol or substance use you’d like to understand or change — guided by a SAP
- Couples and family strain — communication, trust, and reconnection
- Anger and stress that are costing you at home or at work
- Grief, caregiving, and major life changes
Getting started is simple
Call or send the appointment form and we’ll schedule your initial evaluation — a full session to understand your history and goals and shape a plan together. From there, you’ll meet by secure video for 30-, 45-, or 55-minute sessions at a rhythm that fits your life, with evening-friendly options.
Self-pay rates are $175 for the initial evaluation, then $145, $125, or $100 by session length — identical to our in-person rates. We participate with most commercial insurance companies, so most Maryland clients pay only their insurance cost for sessions.
Your Maryland therapist
One clinician on our team holds Maryland licensure and sees MD clients exclusively by secure telehealth.
LCSW licensed in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania & New Jersey · SAP, CAADC · 20+ years of experience. Anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, couples & families.
Clear fees, no surprises
We believe knowing the cost up front is part of feeling at ease. Rates are the same whether you meet in person at our State College office or by secure telehealth. These are self-pay rates — we participate with most commercial insurance companies, so many clients pay only their insurance portion for sessions.
Frequently asked questions
Is online therapy legal if my therapist’s office is in another state?
Yes — licensing laws require your therapist to be licensed both where they practice and where you are located at the time of the session. Heather Dick holds a full Maryland clinical license, so Maryland residents can meet with her by secure video from anywhere in the state.
