Our approach: skills first, shame never
Therapy for ADHD here is practical and collaborative. Using cognitive behavioral therapy adapted for ADHD, your counselor helps you build external structure (planning routines, reminders, environment design), break the procrastination-panic cycle, and challenge the “I’m just lazy” story that years of struggle wrote. Mindfulness-based strategies strengthen the attention muscle itself and help with emotional regulation.
We also treat the whole person. ADHD frequently overlaps with anxiety and depression, and untangling them matters. While our counselors don’t prescribe medication, we’re happy to coordinate with your physician or refer you for a medication evaluation if that’s a route you want to explore.
Sessions are available in person or by secure telehealth across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. And yes, telehealth works well for ADHD clients; no commute means one less thing to forget.
